Parks and Rec offers dog training classes

SPARKS — Curb your dog’s bad habits and establish good conduct through a six-week obedience class taught by professional dog trainer Guy Yeaman. Participants will learn the commands of sit, stand, stay, heel and more

Classes are held Mondays from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Parks and Recreation Gymnasium at 98 Richards Way. There is still time to register for the summer session, which runs through Aug. 23. The next session begins Aug. 30. The cost per session is $82 for Sparks residents and $98 for nonresidents.

Current shot records (rabies, parvo, distemper), training collar and fabric or leather leash required.
