VERDI — Local animal welfare groups Wylie Animal Rescue Foundation (WARF) and Feline Rescue of Northern Nevada (FRONN) will host an event Saturday to raise funds for their causes. The event will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Cozy Cattery parking lot at 2805 W. Old Highway 40.

The festivities will include live entertainment, a barbecue, beer garden, vendor booths, raffles, a silent auction, vendor and craft booths, pet photography and animal adoptions. All proceeds will go towards the rescue efforts of FRONN and WARF.

In addition, all pet adoptions at the event will include a gift bag valued at over $50.
